Learn about the Microscope
The first microscope was made in 1590 by Dutch lens grinders Hans and Zacharias Janssen by placing two lenses in a tube. The first compound light microscope was invented by Anton van Leeuwenhoek. The compound light microscope uses light focused through different lenses to form an image of the specimen and it can zoom in up to 270 times. There are different types of microscopes and another type of microscope is the electron microscope. This microscope is more high power than the compound microscope and it has magnifications up to 10,000,000 times. Microscopes are used for different things such as learning about cells. People learn about cells by using the microscope because you can see a cell with an unaided eye.
