Analogy
An analogy of a animal cell is a city. The nucleus can be the city hall because the city hall controls everything in the city and it's just like the nucleus because the nucleus controls want happens in the cell. The vacuole can be a water tower because a water tower stores water and the vacuole also stores water along with a couple of other things like nutrients. The ribosomes can be a restaurant the ribosomes make protein and the resterant also makes food. The cell membrane can be a highway because the cell membrane is long just like a highway and there are exits on the highway so people can get off and the cell membrane also lets certain things in and out of the cell. The Golgi apparatus can be a post office becuase the Golgi apparatus combines the protein and delivers it off to the rest and out side the cell and a post office delivers mail so they are simular. The cytoplasm can be the air in the city because it fills the city so people can breath and the cytoplasm fills the inside of the cell. The mitochondria can be a power plant because they both convert things into energy. The endoplasmic reticulum can be a manufacturing plant becuase they both make things. The endoplasmic reticulum makes protein and a manufacturing plant makes a lot of things like toys and games. The lysosomes can be a garbage disposal because the organelle breaks down food and digests wastes and the garbage disposal also gets rid of waste.
Parts of the cell(Animal)
Nucleus
The Nucleus controls the cell. Some things that it controls are eating, movement and reproduction. The Nucleus also acts like a brain, so if something happens to the cell, the Nucleus would know that something inside the cell has happened.
Vacuole
The Vacuole stores food and any other nutrients the cell might need to survive. The Vacuole also stores waste products so the cell won't be contaminated. Eventually, the waste products will come out of the cell.
Ribosomes
The Ribosomes make protein for the cell and the cell needs to make protein to support other cell functions.
Cell membrane
The cell membrane is the outer part of the cell and it keeps all the organelles inside the cell. The cell membrane also controls what enters the cell.
Golgi Apparatus
The Golgi apparatus gathers simple molecules and combines them to make more complex molecules. Then it is stored for later use or it gets sent out of the cell. The Golgi apparatus builds lysosomes.
Cytoplasm
The Cytoplasm is the fluid that fills the cell. This is where all the organelles are such as the nucleus, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, and more.
Mitochondria
The Mitochondria is the power house of the cell and they are very small. The Mitochondria takes in nutrients, breaks them down, and creates energy for the cell.
Lysosomes
The Lysosomes digest things like food. The Golgi apparatus makes Lysosomes. When the cell has no food to make protein and it's starving, the Lysosomes will digest cell organelles for nutrients.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
The Endoplasmic Reticulum is a fold organelle that makes protein so that it can help support other cell functions.
